Germany, the team that I had a mild interest in was L1, Jupiter. Jupiter is currently in fall, but in sporting contests major accidental dignities are more important than essential dignities - bad guys can win!

Jupiter is posited in the 3rd, a cadent house, and is retrograde.
The opponent is L7, Mercury in dignity. He is posited in the 7th thus angular, and is in his own home.

Germany would not win the Euro 2008 Championship and so it proved - Spain beat Germany 1 - 0 last night to claim the title.
