27 April 2009, 7.08pm, Johannesburg SAFR, Asc 3Sag40 “Will my team win?” predictions are in essence quite simple and straight forward. The problem arises when the matter itself, such as a political election, is shrouded in a fog of intricate nuances or if the astrologer themselves is not fully aware of the process behind the event or ignores the obvious, not allowing common sense to prevail. With a contest like Idols however there is nothing hidden or intricate so to showcase the simplicity of this method here is my delineation. Jason was my favourite so he is Lord 1 Jupiter. The open enemy is Sasha Lee Lord 7 Mercury. House placement and combustion are the most important factors in these questions – accidental dignity surpasses essential dignity except if the one exalts the other (receptions) which can indicate a psychological disadvantage for the one doing the exalting. However as with all horary charts, it is all things being equal. Lord 1 Jupiter is angular while Lord 7 Mercury is posited in the unfortunate 6th. Neither exalts the other although Jupiter receives Mercury by triplicity – which is not a factor. At a glance it appeared that Jason would win Idols but when you delineate the chart you see that this is not the case. The antiscion of Jupiter is posited in the unfortunate 12th and the antiscion of Mercury is in the 9th, which immediately makes you realise that there is more to the chart than meets the eye. Jupiter opposes the antiscion of the Sun – a very unfortunate place to be in as opposition to the Sun is the second worst place of affliction for any planet and he is square the antiscia of the nodal axis – another highlighter that depicts all is not as it should be. Jupiter is also posited on Deneb Algedi and Sadalsuud and both denote loss and misfortune. The 1st house is empty while the Moon who loves Mercury as it is in the sign of Gemini is posited in the 7th. The Moon is the common people and in this contest it was the public who voted for their Idol. The Moon is in the house of Mercury and in its power. This is exactly what “all things being equal” means – and even though Jupiter is posited in an angular house, so bodily superior to Mercury by house placement, my judgement was that Mercury – Sasha Lee – would win Idols. And so it proved on the 3rd of May 2009. Final outcomeAfter the announcement of Sasha-Lee as the winner of Idols it was found that there was an irregularity within the voting system and Sasha- Lee and Jason were declared joint winners of Idols on the 8th of May. I could make sense of this occurrence astrologically if I investigated further but there are more important matters than Idols that need my attention. According to the delineation Sasha-Lee was the winner, which on the night, she was. The final outcome could simply be the fairest option for the organisers of the event, even though it is claimed that Jason now received more votes - this is an embarrassing situation for a programme of this magnitude - if votes went “missing” on the night whose to say that more aren’t “missing”? |
