The study of the Tradition provides the astrologer with a solid and thorough astrological foundation, providing the necessary skills required to apply the craft; it also adds a spiritual dimension due to the philosophy with which it is aligned.

The study of astrology is not to be entered into lightly: commitment, diligence, courage and humility are required if the student of astrology is to master the subject; that said, it is a subject that can never truly be mastered due to its complexity.

The Hierarchy of Study

Most astrologers of the Tradition commence their astrological studies through contemporary branches, only to find that there is something fundamentally lacking. The persistent ones eventually knock on the door of the Tradition and for most, they have arrived home – the quest for the Holy Grail has ended. Astrologers of the Tradition have set formulae in their methodologies and everything 'is' a certain way because of the philosophy on which the craft is based.

Contrary to modern teachings, a hierarchy exists in the classical teachings of the Tradition of astrology, and all of these pertain to "subjects fit to be judged" as laid down by traditional authorities.

Based on this hierarchy, it is not a prerequisite that a student has any astrological background when commencing traditional studies; it is preferred that the mind is uncluttered and uncorrupted by other branches of astrology. The student of astrology enters from the bottom and works his way up as his knowledge and understanding of the craft grows.

Student Zone:

• I offer 5 levels of certified courses: horary, natal/elections, fixed stars, medical and mundane.
• The Master Craftsman Diploma is awarded on completion of all 5 levels; individual certification is awarded on completion of each level.
• An Apprentice Module is offered at any stage between levels; this enables the student to take a break from the official study format and assimilate his knowledge under my guidance.
  
• Upon registration the student receives log in details to the Student Zone section on the web site.
• Audio files, student notices and articles of interest are uploaded to this section.
• The Student Zone contains a calendar whereby the student can track deadlines for assignments and view when I have assessed a tutorial and uploaded the relevant audio file.
