Immaterial of the prospective student's astrological leanings, the basics cannot be negated: in depth study of the fundamental principles of astrology must be mastered before the student can even consider galloping off in the direction of more meaty topics; you cannot add flesh to a non-existent bone.

Course Details

  • This is a correspondence course and the student has maximum 2 years in which to complete this level.
  • Tuition may commence at any time.
  • No prior knowledge of astrology is required.
  • Email access is compulsory as tutorials are submitted and assessed individually via email.
  • Audio files, where applicable, are uploaded to the Student Zone section on the web site.
  • Workshops for this level are available via audio file for which a fee is payable.
  • The cost for the course is ZAR1600 per month for South African students, payable in 12 instalments; the course must be paid within 1 year from commencement date.
  • If a credit card is the preferred method of payment a 5% surcharge is levied.
  • International correspondence students make 4 payment instalments of approximatley ZAR5800, currency dependent at the time.
  • This includes the rate of foreign exchange/currency and international banking fees; a 5% surcharge is levied if paying by credit card.

Horary Course Content

Below are examples of some of the course content:

  • Essential dignities (rulership, exaltation, triplicity, term, face, detriment, fall) and accidental dignities (house placement, combustion, cazimi, under the Sun's beams, Moon Void of Course, via combusta, etc.).
  • The essence of the planets, signs and houses and their rulerships.
  • Each house is assessed in detail and addressed independently – some houses require more time such as house 6 which covers medical astrology.
  • The true essence of aspects and how to apply them.
  • Fixed stars and their relevance.
  • Antiscia and how to use them.
  • The Arabian Parts and their role in astrology.
  • Timing of events.
  • The philosophy of astrology and its history is addressed, as well as the true essence of the craft.
  • At the end of the year you will successfully be able to delineate a horary chart and have comprehensive knowledge of all the fundamental astrological tools.
